Your recorded video and audio are end-to-end encrypted — only your own devices can open them, not Stealward and not the clouds we run on. To spot threats, the camera watchdog analyzes still frames during a live session, then seals them at rest so only your devices can open them afterward.

Do I need a second device?
Yes — one device watches, another carries the alerts. Most people arm the laptop they’re leaving and keep their phone. A single device can still record and sound its alarm on its own.
Won’t it drain my battery?
It’s running a camera and sensors, so keep it on power for long sessions. Stealward warns you when battery runs low, and keeps guarding even if the live video pauses.
What about the people around me?
The screen shows a calm cover, never the camera feed — passersby just see that the device is being watched. Your recordings are end-to-end encrypted, and only your devices can open them.
Can a determined thief just close it?
Stealward shows a locked cover and blocks the usual escapes, and it alerts you the moment the device is touched or goes offline. The goal is to deter, to catch, and to get you there fast.
What does the AI actually see?
It analyzes camera frames during a session to spot threats to your belongings, then seals those frames so only your devices can open them afterward. Your recorded video and audio stay end-to-end encrypted throughout.
